Our Projects Wabash National
Wabash National, the largest semi-truck producer in North America, contacted CAG to develop a plan to improve their refrigerated truck and trailer designs. After collaboration with several technological partners, the results of our all-composite designs were unmatched by traditional aluminum designs. Our composite designs offered 25% more thermal efficiency, 20% less weight, lower production costs and a longer lifespan. The results of this partnership won our partner Structural Composites, Inc. the 2017 CAMX Unsurpassed Innovation Award.

Our Composite Support:

U.S. Department of Energy
On February 14th, 2014, a drum of nuclear waste ruptured 2,150 feet underground in New Mexico. After several companies said that the leak could never be reached, CAG assembled a team to get the job done. The team engineered a long mechanical arm with a reach of ninety feet that swung thirty-three feet across the chamber where the drums were stored and held a video camera steady without bending, breaking or wobbling. The arm was constructed with epoxy carbon composite material that was lightweight, stiff and strong enough to support a video camera. CAG connected its technology partner - Cornerstone Research Group - to work directly with the Department of Energy to provide a composite solution to this problem.
